Percentage that results from dividing the employed population and the working age population. 'Employed population' or 'Employed workers' is defined according to the homogeneous definition of the SIMS. It refers to those who have worked at least for one hour in the reference period (generally in the last week or month, if the question in the survey is made on a daily basis); or those who are working owing to extraordinary reason such as medical leave, vacations, strikes, etc.
